Arte Museum Gangneung, 30 Million Won Relief Fund for Wildfire Damage
Delivered to Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association on the 20th
Immersive media art exhibition hall Arte Museum Gangneung announced on the 20th that it donated 30 million KRW in relief funds to help local members affected by the wildfire in the Gangneung area on the 11th. The relief funds delivered to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association will be used for disaster relief and damage recovery in the Gangneung area of Gangwon Province caused by the wildfire. Jeong Hee-jun, director of Arte Museum Gangneung, said, “I hope the relief funds will help the local members of Gangneung who suffered damage from the sudden wildfire to recover their daily lives as soon as possible, even if only a little.”

Arte Museum Gangneung, operated by the design company District, opened near Gyeongpo Lake in December 2021. Approximately 1.3 million people have visited over 1 year and 4 months. Every year, 1% of its sales revenue is donated to the local cultural and artistic development fund through the Pharma Research Cultural Foundation. District operates Arte Museums in Jeju and Yeosu, including Gangneung. It plans to open the fourth Arte Museum in Korea in Yeongdo, Busan, in the second half of this year.
