Toss Pay Accepted at CU Stores... Promoting Finance and Retail Linked Marketing
Toss Signs Business Agreement with CU
It appears that this year’s first half will see the mobile financial service platform Toss’s simple payment service Toss Pay available at CU convenience stores in South Korea.
Toss operator Viva Republica announced on the 4th that it has signed a “business agreement for joint project promotion based on online and offline platforms” with CU operator BGF Retail. CU plans to gradually introduce Toss Pay to stores nationwide during the first half of this year. Through this agreement, Toss plans to actively expand Toss Pay’s offline presence.
Additionally, Toss and CU will sequentially carry out detailed projects in three areas: ▲payment and membership partnerships ▲expansion of O4O (Online for Offline) services ▲big data linkage. Services under consideration include linking CU membership points through the Toss app, providing CU-related benefits to Toss mobile subscribers, and in-store pickup of USIM cards at CU offline stores. A differentiated marketing strategy linking distribution and finance will also be prepared.
