Large-scale Easter Parade at Gwanghwamun... 61 Teams Including Cavalry and Over 5,000 Participants
On the occasion of Easter, the '2023 Easter Parade' will be held at 2 p.m. on the 9th around Gwanghwamun. The event, hosted by the Korea Christian Federation (HanGyoChong) and organized by CTS Christian TV, is expected to involve over 5,000 participants from 61 teams.
The event will be held as a non-political, purely cultural event. The purpose is to fill the streets, which are full of division and conflict, with a healthy Christian culture of peace, love, and harmony. The parade is organized by themes including the Old Testament, New Testament, modern and contemporary times, and the next generation, with churches, missionary organizations, alternative schools, multicultural teams, stroller processions, university honor guards, and police mounted units filling the streets.
From 5:30 p.m., performances by singers will take place. Singers Ailee and Park Ki-young, sopranos Sindella and Delavella, and the choir Naiz will perform on a special stage at Gwanghwamun Square.
