Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station Operates Fire Safety Experience Booth for the Elderly
The Gwangju Northern Fire Station recently announced on the 2nd that it operated a fire safety experience booth for the elderly at the Senior Welfare Town in Hyoryeong-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.
The experience booth was held to commemorate the 13th anniversary of the opening of Hyoryeong Senior Welfare Town and was promoted to expand opportunities for the elderly to enhance their emergency response skills.
The experience booth consisted of ▲ cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) practice ▲ fire extinguisher usage practice ▲ Heimlich maneuver practice for airway obstruction emergency treatment.
In particular, to prevent fall accidents among the elderly, who are in an older age group, the booth focused on safety by providing guidance on practical fall prevention methods in daily life, how to apply for the 119 Safety Call service, and distributing anti-slip stickers.
