CU Launches 'Pobibib Bread', Dark Version of Pororo Character
Includes 50 Types of Transparent Photocards
CU announced on the 29th that it will launch 'Pobibig Bread,' an extended character of Pororo animation's Poby.
Pobibig is a transformed character of Poby, the polar bear character appearing in the animation Porong Porong Pororo. The story is that kind and straightforward Poby changes into a dark personality with a bold and blunt character after enduring three times.
The Pobibig character bread comes in three types: red bean lucky bread, sugar cream bread, and mocha castella. The red bean lucky bread is made by putting whole red bean paste between pancake bread, and it features an illustration of Pobibig holding a lucky four-leaf clover on top of the bread. The sugar cream bread and mocha castella are made by spreading plenty of cream between soft sponge cake bread and castella, then sprinkling sugar powder on top to enhance the sweet taste.
A transparent photo card with 50 different cute Pobibig illustrations is randomly included. This targets the recent trend among Generation Z, where they take photos of food along with photo cards and share them on social networking services (SNS) as part of the 'etiquette shot' culture.
