Military Mutual Aid Association Donates 20 Million Won to Support Independence of Marginalized Neighbors and Disabled People
On the 23rd, the Military Mutual Aid Association donated 10 million won each to the ‘Gangnam Seum Welfare Center’ and the ‘Hasang Disabled Welfare Center’ located in Gangnam-gu to help marginalized neighbors in the local community as part of ethical management.
The Military Mutual Aid Association is collaborating with Gangnam Seum Welfare Center to promote a project supporting the lives of severely disabled people in the local community. The project will run for four months from April to July and will provide support such as dining out assistance for disabled families, daily necessities and side dishes, as well as cool mats to help endure the summer heat.
Gangnam Seum Welfare Center operates various support services for vulnerable disabled people in the community, as well as self-reliance programs to help them live harmoniously within society.
With the donation from the Military Mutual Aid Association, Hasang Disabled Welfare Center plans to renovate its aging dining facilities. This welfare center provides free meals daily to about 300 low-income disabled individuals, and through this renovation, users are expected to enjoy meals in a more comfortable environment.
Hasang Disabled Welfare Center offers various educational programs to strengthen the independence of disabled people and operates support services such as an online braille lecture site for disabled individuals in Gangnam-gu.
