I Han-yeol Memorial Hall Hosts Itaewon Tragedy Memorial Exhibition
'Comforting Spirit' Until May 26
The Lee Han-yeol Memorial Hall announced on the 20th that it will hold the exhibition "The Spirit of Consolation (Fragments of Hope Become Wings)" on the 3rd floor planning exhibition hall of the memorial until May 26.
Last year on October 29, the memorial explained that the exhibition was created to mourn the sorrow of the Itaewon tragedy, show solidarity with young people, and convey the themes of consolation and hope in the lives of youth living in this era.
The exhibition features a total of 22 artists and an independent curator (Kim Hye-jin) who participated as volunteers: Kim In-hye, Kim Eun-jin, Kim Yu-ui, Park Mi-ra, Seo Wan-ho, Seo Jae-min, Lee Rang, Lee Seon-gyeong, Lee Jun-hee, Lee Ji-eun, Lee Yoo-jin, Im Gae-hwa, J.R.1, Jo Min-a, Victor Jo, Choi Ga-hyo, Choi Namu, Choi Se-gyeong, Parang, Hwang Ji-hyun, Hwang Hye-seong, and Hong Geun-young.
The theme of Part 1 is life, focusing on the real issues surrounding youth such as youth unemployment and workplace stress, which have emerged due to the prolonged economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
