Chairman Koo Ja-eun Attends 'InterBattery 2023'
Gu Ja-eun, Chairman of LS Group, stated that he will focus on consolidating the group's capabilities and creating synergies for the battery and electric vehicle (EV) business.
On the 15th, Chairman Gu visited 'InterBattery 2023' held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, along with CEOs and executives of major affiliates. InterBattery 2023 is the largest battery industry exhibition in Korea, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Battery Industry Association and COEX.
On the day, Chairman Gu, along with Gu Ja-gyun, Chairman of LS Electric, Myung Noh-hyun, Vice Chairman of LS Group, Do Seok-gu, Vice Chairman of LS MnM, Ahn Won-hyung, President of LS Group, Kim Jong-woo, President of LS Electric, and Gu Dong-hwi, Vice President of LS Electric, visited the LS Group exhibition hall to encourage employees. They also toured various booths including LG Energy Solution, Samsung SDI, SK On, and POSCO Chemical to check domestic and international battery industry trends.

At the event, Chairman Gu said, "At this exhibition, we could observe the industry trend where leading companies in the battery field are preparing for ▲battery efficiency improvement ▲next-generation solid-state batteries ▲recycling and circular economy movement. LS will also consolidate business capabilities within the group from EV materials and components to charging solutions, creating synergies to provide customers with optimal solutions and differentiated value."

LS Group set up an exhibition space of about 270㎡ (30 booths) at InterBattery 2023, which runs until the 17th. Seven companies including LS Electric, LS MnM, LS EV Korea, LS E-Link, LS e-Mobility Solutions, LS Materials, and LS R&S comprehensively showcased EV materials, components, and charging solutions, consolidating the group's EV value chain capabilities.
