MS "AI Chatbot-Equipped 'Bing' Surpasses 100 Million Users"
The number of users of Microsoft's (MS) search engine 'Bing,' equipped with an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, is rapidly increasing.
On the 10th (local time), MS announced that the daily active users of Bing have surpassed 100 million. Daily active users refer to those who have accessed the service at least once a day. It took just over a month since the launch announcement at the headquarters in Washington State, USA, on the 7th of last month for Bing users to exceed 100 million.
MS described this as a "noteworthy figure," stating, "As engagement with the search engine increases, many people are searching." They also added, "One-third of the users are first-time Bing users," and noted, "Although Bing's search engine market share is low, attracting users who have never used Bing before is significant."
Unlike Google, which holds 80% of the search engine market, MS is actively utilizing the Bing chatbot. Despite controversies over responses, MS did not limit usage by restricting the number of questions. Google, after unveiling its new AI chatbot-equipped search engine 'Bard' on the 8th of last month, has yet to officially disclose user-related information.
