Miryang City Expands Voucher Taxi Service for Transportation-Disadvantaged to 28 Vehicles
Training Conducted for Voucher Taxi Drivers
Miryang City in Gyeongnam Province initially introduced 12 special transportation vehicles (voucher taxis) for transportation-vulnerable groups in January and plans to operate a total of 40 vehicles by adding 28 more this month.
On the 8th, the city conducted training on the project and transportation-vulnerable groups for the drivers of the 28 voucher taxis at the Miryang Disability Rights Center.

This training covered improving the courteous service level of taxi drivers, the characteristics of different types of disabilities, an overall overview of voucher taxis, major complaints, and drivers' compliance requirements.
Voucher taxis are operated to alleviate the inconvenience caused by long wait times for special transportation vehicles (call taxis for transportation-vulnerable groups). The significant reduction in dispatch times for special transportation vehicles has greatly contributed to improving mobility convenience for transportation-vulnerable individuals.
