[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Taewon] The Mapo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 8th that three individuals in their 40s, including a man identified as A, have been booked and are under investigation on charges of possessing drugs suspected to be methamphetamine (violation of the Narcotics Control Act).
According to the police, Mr. A was apprehended near Gwangheungchang Station on Seoul Subway Line 6 on the 5th. At the time of the arrest, the police reportedly discovered and seized drugs suspected to be methamphetamine and straws believed to be used as inhalation tools near the arrest location.
Mr. A was caught following a citizen's report. The police arrested Mr. B and Mr. C the next day on the same charges as flagrante delicto, based on an additional report from the same citizen. Mr. A and the others tested positive in a preliminary drug reagent test and are reported to have admitted to the charges during the investigation.
