UNIST, Top Excellence in 'Public Institution Comprehensive Integrity Evaluation'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] UNIST received the highest rating (Grade 1) among national public universities in the 2022 Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission’s ‘Comprehensive Integrity Evaluation of Public Institutions’ announced on the 26th.
UNIST scored 86 out of 100 in the comprehensive integrity evaluation, which is 10.8 points higher than the average score of 75.2 for the 33 national public universities evaluated, earning the highest grade.
The comprehensive integrity evaluation assesses two areas: the perception and experience of corruption that may occur during work processes (Integrity Perception) and efforts and performance in anti-corruption initiatives (Integrity Effort).
UNIST received an excellent rating in the ‘Integrity Perception’ category and was the only national public university to receive a very excellent rating in the ‘Integrity Effort’ category.
The university analyzed that these results were positively influenced by efforts such as institution management based on ‘communication,’ the establishment of a systematic internal integrity task force, and the construction of effective corruption control measures through analysis of major corruption-vulnerable areas.
