Changwon Special City Discusses Sustainable Development Council Projects
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced that the Changwon Sustainable Development Council held the 1st Steering Committee meeting of 2023 on the afternoon of the 19th at the Citizen Hall.
At this Steering Committee meeting, they evaluated the overall projects of 2022 and reported on the achievements so far, and engaged in in-depth discussions on the 2023 project plans and budget proposals.

View original imageThe Changwon Sustainable Development Council is a public-private governance body established to set and implement sustainable development goals across the city administration, including environment, economy, welfare, and education. The 6th term committee members consist of 88 experts from various fields, including ex officio members such as the 2nd Deputy Mayor of Changwon, city council members, university professors, corporate executives, and civic group activists.
Additionally, to facilitate smooth project implementation, the council has formed a Steering Committee composed of 20 members, including co-chairs, heads of each subcommittee, and auditors, responsible for reviewing project plans, budgets and settlements, and evaluating overall projects.
