[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] Novelist Munsang Oh's novella "Ah, Siruseom" and novelist Mingumae's short story "Onggojip Sarang" have been selected as the winners of the 48th Korean Novel Literature Award presented by the Korean Novelists Association.
The judging committee stated that "Ah, Siruseom" vividly narrates the story of residents overcoming a crisis with one heart amid the fear of natural disasters. Regarding "Onggojip Sarang," it was evaluated as a symbolic love story of our era.
The association announced three winners of the 13th Korean Novelists Award. The winning works are novelist Yujungwon's full-length novel "The Condition of Man," writer Iseonwoo's short story collection "The Kind Neighbor at Two in the Afternoon," and writer Jeong Isu's short story collection "Gaechulsuga Died."
Additionally, writer Jeong Jongjin's short story collection "The Avang Palace Embedded in the Moon" received the 8th Overseas Korean Novel Literature Award. Writer Yuman Sang's short story collection "Heavy Snow" won the 3rd Hakchon Ibeomseon Literature Award, and novelist Kang Junhee received the 6th Beautiful Novelist Award.

The award ceremony will be held on the 20th at 5 p.m. at the Joongang Daegyo Hall in Suwoon Hall, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
