Seoul City "Experience 'Fast Delivery' from Traditional Markets During Seol"
'Woori Market Fast Delivery' Offers Same-Day and Early Morning Delivery for Lunar New Year Products
[Asia Economy Reporter Seong Giho] This Lunar New Year, visiting traditional markets in the Seoul area is expected to make holiday preparations such as shopping and gift-giving more convenient. By using ‘Uri Market Fast Delivery,’ the first service of its kind introduced nationwide by the Seoul Metropolitan Government to traditional markets, customers can quickly receive a variety of fresh products from traditional markets delivered to their doorstep on the same day or by early morning delivery.
On the 11th, Seoul announced that it will provide prompt Lunar New Year delivery services through ‘Uri Market Fast Delivery,’ which was first launched last November. As this is the first holiday since the service began, various events will be held to allow many citizens to enjoy the convenience.
‘Uri Market Fast Delivery’ digitalizes the entire process from order placement to delivery and settlement, allowing consumers to order products online or offline and receive them via early morning or same-day delivery according to their preference.
Currently, the city has completed the establishment of MFCs and the introduction of a digital logistics platform at three locations: Cheongnyangni General Market, Amsa General Market, and Noryangjin Fish Market, providing fast delivery of various items. Especially, these three markets handle food products with high demand during holidays, making it easy to purchase fruit, holiday foods, and seafood holiday set products.
Orders can be placed both online and offline. When visiting in person, customers can order products at stores marked with a ‘Fast Delivery’ sticker and have them delivered to their homes. Additionally, holiday products can be ordered via fast delivery online or by phone from anywhere nationwide.
Various participatory events are also being held. Cheongnyangni General Market plans to sell products at an open studio set up in the market, with free delivery benefits during the broadcast. Cheongnyangni General Market and Amsa General Market will hold a free courier delivery event for online and offline orders placed by the morning of the 16th.
Meanwhile, holiday products ordered online by the 17th and offline by the 18th can be delivered nationwide by courier before the Lunar New Year. Detailed information can be found on the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s official websites by sector.
