Composes and Provides 20 AI Christmas Songs
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] The Christmas carol songs created by Juice, an AI startup subsidiary of Genie Music, are resonating through the streets of Gyeonggi-do.
Genie Music announced on the 19th that it signed a "Content Provision Agreement for Revitalizing the Local Economy of Gyeonggi-do" with the Gyeonggi-do Market and Commercial District Promotion Agency and the Gyeonggi-do Merchants Association.
Through this agreement, an environment has been established where AI-created Christmas music provided by Genie Music can be played in commercial districts and streets within Gyeonggi-do. Previously, when general Christmas music was played in stores or on the streets, merchants had to pay performance fees and compensation, which was a burden.
Genie Music will provide a total of 20 AI Christmas songs free from copyright fee burdens to commercial districts and streets within Gyeonggi-do. This is also expected to help revitalize the local economy.
The AI Christmas music production was handled by the AI startup Juice. Juice, acquired by Genie Music last October, holds numerous patents related to AI creation. Juice used AI training music data and deep learning technology to learn the characteristics of Christmas carol music.
Juice’s AI created carol songs reflecting the Christmas carol genre, keywords, instruments, and tempo. The representative carol song is "Happy Christmas," a jazz carol expressing the innocence of children happily making snowmen on a snowy Christmas.
