Korea Real Estate Development Association Honam Branch Donates 10 Million Won for 'Warm Winter' Fundraising
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Honam Branch of the Korea Real Estate Development Association (Branch Chief Choi Gapryeol) donated 10 million KRW in warm winter funds for neighbors in need of care in Gwangju to the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Park Cheolhong · Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae).
According to Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae on the 29th, the handover ceremony held the previous day took place during the ‘Korea Real Estate Development Association Honam Branch 2022 Year-end Night’ event.
Branch Chief Choi Gapryeol, Moon Younghoon, Deputy Mayor of Gwangju, Jeong Muchang, Chairman of the Gwangju City Council, Kang Suhoon, Chair of the Gwangju City Council Steering Committee, Kim Dongjin, President of Gwangju University, and Kim Jingon, Secretary General of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, attended.
The 10 million KRW donation from the KODA Honam Branch was prepared to support a warm winter for underprivileged neighbors in our region ahead of the year-end and New Year holidays, and will be fully supported through Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae.
At the event, as part of KODA Honam Branch’s social contribution projects, a scholarship certificate awarding ceremony was also held for university students enrolled in five universities in Gwangju.
A total of 10 students each received a scholarship of 1 million KRW, totaling 10 million KRW.
Branch Chief Choi said, “We convey a small love with the hope that neighbors in our local community will not endure the harsh winter season with cold waves,” and added, “The Korea Real Estate Development Association Honam Branch will actively strive for a warm Gwangju.”
