Gwangju University’s Local Multicultural Families 'Photo Shooting' Event Draws Attention
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju University (President Kim Dongjin) recently announced on the 15th that it conducted a photo shooting program at the school to give happiness and memories to local multicultural families.
The multicultural family photo shooting was organized to provide an opportunity to overcome the difficulties faced by multicultural families and to help them live healthily in the community.
This program, held in collaboration with the Gwangju Metropolitan City Dong-gu Family Center, involved professors and students from the University Innovation Support Project Group, the Multicultural Expert Convergence Major, the Korean Language Education Department (Interpretation and Language Assistance), the Photography, Video and Drone Department (Photography), the Beauty and Cosmetology Department (Hair and Makeup), and the Early Childhood Education Department (Child Play).
Shin Hyesook, director of the Gwangju Dong-gu Family Center, said, “We will work together with Gwangju University so that multicultural families can experience various activities in the Gwangju community in the future.”
Choi Donghee, deputy director of the Gwangju University University Innovation Support Project Group, stated, “We plan to continuously promote community-linked programs so that students can greatly contribute to the development of the local community.”
