This is the first case of a domestic company entering the global airport system market, which is monopolized by a few global companies, with the support of KOTRA.
The system that A completed at Pemba Airport on Pemba Island, Tanzania, includes ▲Common Passenger Processing System (AirCUS) ▲Local Departure Control System (L-DCS) ▲Flight Information Display System (FIDS). All of these systems were directly designed and developed by A, and the Common Passenger Processing System is a product applied to all terminals of Incheon International Airport.
A achieved this result through the 'ICT Consortium Export Support Project,' which is supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and KOTRA to help secure overseas information and communication technology (ICT) projects. The purpose of this project is to form a consortium to support local activities for overseas project orders that are difficult for small and medium-sized enterprises to enter alone.
KOTRA assisted A in carrying out this project to achieve this result. A won the project in February 2020 and originally planned to supply the system to Zanzibar International Airport, but the work was halted due to the spread of COVID-19, causing difficulties in progress. After continuous consultations with A and the local airport corporation, KOTRA changed the system supply target to Pemba Airport and resumed installation work in August this year. Incheon International Airport Corporation supported the provision of system licenses.
