Songpa-gu, CPR Training for All of Us
Education Combining Theory and Practice to Enhance Safety Awareness and Crisis Response Skills... Hands-on Training Using CPR Manikins for Cardiac Arrest Patient Consciousness Check and Chest Compressions
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Songpa-gu (District Mayor Seogang Seok) will conduct cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and fire safety training for employees at the Songpa-gu Office auditorium on the afternoon of the 11th.
Following the recent Itaewon tragedy, the importance of CPR has been highlighted once again. This training was organized to improve response capabilities in emergency situations and to prevent safety accident damages. With the cooperation of the Songpa Fire Station, professional instructors with extensive practical experience and safety education backgrounds will participate.
The training consists of two parts. In Part 1, hands-on emergency treatment training such as ▲CPR ▲use of automated external defibrillators (AED) will be conducted. Mayor Seo will personally participate in the training, practicing with employees on CPR mannequins to check the consciousness of cardiac arrest patients and perform chest compressions.
Part 2 will cover fire safety education including ▲fire prevention methods ▲fire facility management laws ▲evacuation methods during fire incidents. To minimize damage and enable active response during fires, training on the use of emergency escape devices and rope knotting techniques will be provided.
This training, combining theory and practice, is expected to raise employees' safety awareness and strengthen their ability to respond quickly to emergencies and accidents within the office building.
Additionally, the district plans to expand CPR and disaster safety education conducted at the Songpa Safety Experience Education Center located in Macheon-dong, providing more residents with educational opportunities.
