Korea Ceramic Foundation Opens Public Recruitment for Youth Ombudsman
[Asia Economy (Gwangju) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Korea Ceramic Foundation, a public institution under Gyeonggi Province, is publicly recruiting the '2nd Integrity Ombudsman' until the 7th of this month to establish an anti-corruption and integrity culture within the foundation and realize proper public service values.
The ombudsman is a civil complaint investigator who monitors illegal and unfair acts by public officials and protects the basic rights of complainants by investigating and urging corrective actions for damage relief.
The Korea Ceramic Foundation introduced the 'Integrity Ombudsman' system in 2020 and is recruiting the second term this year.
Eligibility requirements include: ▲ those with extensive professional knowledge and experience in the foundation's main tasks ▲ those with more than 3 years of practical experience in related fields holding qualifications such as lawyer, accountant, tax accountant, or engineer ▲ those with abundant knowledge and experience in the work of investment and contribution institutions and culture and arts. A total of 3 people will be recruited. The position is non-standing with a 2-year term, renewable once for one year.
The foundation will conduct an internal document review to evaluate the expertise and suitability necessary for job performance and select the final successful candidates.
The Integrity Ombudsman will be responsible for ▲ monitoring, investigating, and evaluating the foundation's major projects and corruption-prone areas ▲ auditing and requesting correction of corruption-related matters discovered during job performance ▲ inspecting and evaluating the implementation status of system improvements and corrections ▲ providing advice or opinions on corruption prevention and integrity policies ▲ participating in education and councils related to Integrity Ombudsman activities.
