[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Seongheon Lee) held the "2022 Seodaemun Youth Career Expo - Dream BTI" on the 23rd at Seodaemun Independence Park and the Seodaemun Prison History Hall area, in collaboration with the Seodaemun Career Experience Support Center.
The event was a great success, with about 1,400 students from 11 local middle schools and approximately 300 professional mentors and volunteers participating.
This expo is a representative local event that helps youth explore careers and experience jobs. After two years of being held online, it allowed young people to meet and communicate directly with professional mentors.
The expo featured 80 career experience booths based on MBTI personality types and a media-specialized zone.
Youth visited booths linked to their MBTI test results, listened to mentors' explanations, and engaged in conversations to resolve their questions about careers and paths.
Various free experience booths related to the 4th Industrial Revolution, such as VR trucks, maker trucks, and black-and-white photo studios, also attracted great interest from the youth.
Seongheon Lee, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, who visited the expo, stopped by booths of various professionals including the Seodaemun Pharmaceutical Association and creators, supporting the volunteer professional mentors.
He also met with youth and received much positive response while discussing "dreams during school days and efforts to achieve those dreams."
