[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] President Yoon Suk-yeol, who is staying in New York, USA to attend the United Nations General Assembly, will meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on the 21st (local time).
A presidential office official explained the schedule to the press at the central press room inside the New York Press Center on the morning of the same day, saying, "President Yoon will meet Chancellor Scholz this afternoon New York time for a Korea-Germany summit."
The official added, "President Yoon and Chancellor Scholz exchanged greetings during the recent North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit," and "however, this is the first official Korea-Germany summit since President Yoon took office."
