Doosan Construction Co., Ltd., Large Complex Brand Apartment with Over 1,000 Households 'Doosan We’ve The Zenith Central Wonju'
The undefeated myth of large-scale apartment complexes continues in the sales market. Large complexes with over 1,000 units often feature well-equipped auxiliary facilities and landscaping proportional to their size, and are mostly developed as branded apartments by major construction companies.
In fact, large-scale apartment complexes tend to have higher transaction volumes, making them more liquid, and their price increases are generally higher compared to nearby complexes. As a result, many large complexes become leading apartments that drive regional housing prices.
For example, there is ‘Lotte Castle The First 2nd Phase’ located in Jijeong-myeon, Wonju-si, Gangwon-do. This complex, with 1,116 units, is attracting significant attention in the area. According to data from Real Estate R114, as of July this year, the complex has the highest price per pyeong (12.39 million KRW) in the region. Moreover, it is about twice the average price per pyeong (6.47 million KRW) of apartments in Wonju-si, Gangwon-do for the same month.
The price increase of large-scale apartments is also steep. According to KB Real Estate prices, in July this year, the average sale price of an 84㎡ unit in ‘Wonju Bangok I-Park’ (1,335 units, moved in March 2008) located in Bangok-dong, Wonju-si, Gangwon-do, was 317.5 million KRW. This is an increase of 75 million KRW compared to the same month last year (242.5 million KRW).
Given this situation, the popularity of large-scale apartments remains high in the sales market. ‘Hillstate Geomdan Wol County,’ a large-scale branded apartment with 1,535 units launched in Bullo-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon in April this year, drew attention and recorded an average subscription competition rate of 80.12 to 1, the highest in Incheon this year.
Meanwhile, Doosan Construction (CEO Kwon Kyung-hoon) is currently selling ‘Doosan We’ve The Zenith Central Wonju’ in the Won-dong area of Wonju-si, Gangwon-do. The complex will be developed with 14 buildings, ranging from 2 basement floors to a maximum of 24 floors above ground, with a total of 1,167 units and exclusive areas from 29 to 84㎡.
Doosan We’ve The Zenith Central Wonju is a complex sold through a housing redevelopment project, allowing residents to enjoy the fully developed infrastructure of Wonju’s original downtown, attracting great interest from buyers even before sales began.
The complex is near Central Market, Jungang-ro Culture Street, and large shopping facilities such as AK Plaza and Lotte Mart, as well as Megabox, Wonju Severance Christian Hospital, and Wonju City Hall. Additionally, there are schools within walking distance including Myeongryun Elementary, Wonju Girls’ Middle School, and Wonju Middle and High Schools, with Yonsei University Wonju College of Medicine and Wonju City Central Library also nearby, providing an excellent educational environment.
The complex also boasts convenient transportation. It is adjacent to major roads such as Musil-ro and Seowon-daero, facilitating easy movement within the area. Particularly, the well-established public transportation infrastructure makes travel throughout Wonju convenient. Furthermore, access to highways such as the 2nd Yeongdong Expressway and Jungang Expressway is smooth, ensuring excellent connectivity to the Seoul metropolitan area. The nearby KTX Wonju Station also makes travel outside the region easy.
There is also a planned railway development nearby. The double-track electrified railway line between Yeoju and Wonju on the Gyeonggang Line, scheduled to begin construction in the second half of this year, is expected to open in 2027. Once this railway connecting Yeoju and Wonju is operational, travel from Wonju to the Seoul Gangnam area will be possible within an hour, further improving Wonju’s transportation environment.
Additionally, a park (approximately 14,190㎡) connected to the complex will be developed, and nearby green spaces such as Namsan Park (approximately 28,000㎡) are close by, allowing residents to enjoy a pleasant natural environment.
The complex offers product quality befitting its brand. First, all units are primarily south-facing to maximize sunlight and openness. The floor plans mainly feature 4-Bay slab-type designs to enhance lighting and ventilation, with ample storage space being a highlight. Moreover, a variety of unit sizes including 59㎡, 74㎡, and 84㎡ are available, broadening the choices for buyers.
The complex design is also notable. It features a high-end complex-specific design with glass balcony windows and ensures ample distance between buildings to secure residents’ privacy, sunlight rights, and views. A large central plaza will be located in the middle of the complex, with outdoor exercise facilities and convenience amenities planned to enhance residents’ living satisfaction.
