IEL Science Moves into Virtual Office 'Soma'... Commute by Logging in from Anywhere
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] IL Science, a KOSDAQ-listed smart optical solutions company, announced on the 15th that it will move into the metaverse-based virtual office 'Soma.'
Soma is a metaverse-based virtual office developed by the proptech company Zigbang, gaining attention for enhancing work efficiency without being constrained by physical space.
IL Science plans to provide a more innovative work environment by moving into the virtual office, reflecting recent changes in perceptions of workspaces such as hub office work, telecommuting, and workations.
Employees must move their avatars to meet colleagues in the virtual office and have face-to-face conversations. Through this, they aim to reduce physical and psychological distances and strengthen organic collaboration systems to improve work efficiency.
Commuting for employees will also become easier. They can arrive on the first floor of the virtual office simply by logging in from anywhere. Employees working at IL Science, as well as its affiliates IL Cenus, Itronics, Aheads, and business sites such as the Cheonan Smart Factory and the China office, can work in the virtual office with just a click.
