CGV Apgujeong Theater 1 Transforms into an IMAX Special Theater
170 Seats... Ten Seats Are Reclining Sofa 'Private Box'
On the 16th, CGV announced that it will reopen its Apgujeong Main Building Theater 1 as a newly renovated IMAX screening room with 170 seats. Ten of the seats are 'Private Boxes' equipped with reclining sofas. Visitors are provided with beverages, popcorn, and disposable slippers. IMAX is a screening format that combines a screen designed for effective immersion with realistic sound. This year, IMAX theaters were also established at the Cheongju (Seomun) and Dongtan branches. Including these, there are a total of twenty IMAX theaters. To commemorate the reopening, CGV will hold an IMAX All-Day Preview on the 20th, screening films such as 'Top Gun: Maverick,' 'Nope,' and 'Bullet Train.'
