[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Robot startup XYZ will provide robot-automated food and beverage services at the Porsche Korea booth during the electric car racing event held over two days starting from the 13th around Seoul Jamsil Sports Complex.
This event is the electric car version of the Formula 1 (F1) automobile racing competition, organized by the F?d?ration Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). It is also the first electric car race to be held in Korea, officially named the "2022 Hana Bank Seoul E-PRIX."
At the booth set up by Porsche Korea, XYZ will use its robot automation solution "BARIS" to serve visitors robot-drip coffee. Spectators can enjoy the race while exploring Porsche Korea's booth and tasting coffee made by the barista robot.
BARIS uses a unique drip algorithm to provide consistent coffee regardless of time and location. A representative from XYZ stated, "The barista robot operates solely on electric energy, making it an eco-friendly service," adding, "This aligns with the purpose of the electric car racing event, which promotes sustainable development and environmental protection."
