[Seoul District Photo News] Oh, Nowon-gu Mayor Attends 'Nowon Children Native English Camp' Completion Ceremony, Awards Certificates to 8 Outstanding Students
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the 31st at 1 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the completion ceremony of the 'Nowon Children Native English Camp' held at the 70th Anniversary Memorial Hall of SunKyo University and awarded certificates to eight students with excellent grades.
The district planned this camp to complement public education and reduce private education expenses, aiming to give children interest and confidence in English.
The camp targeted elementary school students in grades 3 to 6 residing in Nowon District. The district supports 520,000 KRW of the 880,000 KRW participation fee. For 38 students from low-income households, the district covers the full cost.
The event proceeded in the order of the national anthem, congratulatory speeches, certificate awarding, and viewing of a commemorative video.
