[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Coupang announced on the 13th that it will live broadcast two matches of the Tottenham team in the 'Coupang Play Series' on Coupang Play. Tottenham, participating in the Coupang Play Series, will hold the first friendly match against Team K League, composed of domestic All-Star players, at Seoul World Cup Stadium from 8 PM that evening. Then, on the 16th at 8 PM, they will play against the Spanish professional club Sevilla FC at Suwon World Cup Stadium. Both matches can only be viewed through the Coupang Play website and app without terrestrial broadcast coverage.
Coupang Play can be accessed not only on mobile, tablet, and PC websites but also on smart TVs, allowing viewers to enjoy the matches on large TV screens. In particular, to enable sports viewing in various environments, sports broadcasting has been updated to be available not only on existing Samsung and LG smart TVs but also on Android TV. Coupang also sold tickets for direct attendance at the matches to Wow members through the Coupang Play website and app. All seats were sold out early.

Tottenham is a popular Premier League (PL) club to which player Son Heung-min belongs. Coupang explained that to provide special fun and experiences to customers subscribed to the Wow membership, they invited the Tottenham team and arranged matches against Team K League and Sevilla FC. Since launching the Wow membership in 2019, Coupang has continuously increased benefits based on ongoing investments. Wow members can enjoy unlimited video content such as movies, dramas, sports, and education through the OTT service Coupang Play.
