SK Stoa Receives Prime Minister's Commendation for Contributions to Social Economy Revitalization

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] SK Stoa announced that it received the Prime Minister's Commendation at the ‘2022 Social Economy Activation Meritorious Person’ government award ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance on the 8th.
According to SK Stoa on the 11th, the Social Economy Activation Meritorious Person Award is a system established by the government to discover and reward organizations that have contributed to the activation of the social economy. Awards are given to various organizations such as social enterprises, cooperatives, village enterprises, and social venture companies.
SK Stoa was recognized for discovering and realizing a business model that pursues not only financial profit but also social value, receiving the Prime Minister's Commendation in the ‘Social Value Realization (Private Sector)’ category.
In particular, it was acknowledged for contributing to the growth and development of social enterprises through operating innovative store-in support programs targeting social enterprises and providing practical support such as product discovery and consulting.
Since 2018, SK Stoa has been operating programs such as ‘The Ddaddeuthan Pumpyunghoe’ which discovers excellent products from social enterprises, and ‘Moduui Home Shopping Home;Run,’ where TV shopping professionals directly educate social enterprises to enhance their understanding of home shopping channels.
Additionally, SK Stoa has carried out various activities including developing eco-friendly NPB products with social enterprises, discovering excellent local products through local governments, and producing commercials to raise brand awareness of social enterprises.
SK Stoa plans to actively expand support programs to coexist with social enterprises and local farms in the future.
