Student COVID-19 Cases Increase by 19.2% Compared to Previous Week
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] As the number of COVID-19 cases nationwide shows a rebound, the number of confirmed student cases in Seoul increased by 19.2% compared to last week over the past week.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education on the 5th, the number of newly confirmed student cases from the 27th of last month to the 3rd was 988, and the number of confirmed staff cases was 152.
The number of confirmed student cases in the previous week (June 20?26) was 829, which is 159 more than that. The number of confirmed staff cases increased by 51 compared to the previous week (101 cases).
The number of confirmed student cases decreased from 825 in the first week of June to 713 in the second week, but then rebounded for two consecutive weeks in the third and fourth weeks of June. This trend is similar to the nationwide changes in confirmed cases.
The number of confirmed cases by school level is in the order of elementary school (476), middle school (259), and high school (226).
