According to their agency YG Entertainment on the 3rd, the video surpassed 1.9 billion views on YouTube at around 4:02 AM. This is the first time for a K-pop group music video. It has reached this unprecedented milestone in about four years since its release on June 15, 2018.
The "DDU-DU DDU-DU" music video surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube in November 2019. Since then, it has added hundreds of millions of views every 3 to 5 months, aiming to exceed 2 billion views within the year. BLACKPINK already holds 32 videos with over 100 million views each.
