[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that due to the rise in water levels of the Jungnangcheon Stream caused by heavy rain concentrated in northern Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, the entire section of the Dongbu Expressway (from Surak Underpass to Seongsu JC) will be completely closed from 6:43 AM on the 30th.
The Seoul Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters requested, "Commuters should check traffic conditions in advance and use public transportation as much as possible."

Earlier, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety raised the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH) from Level 1 to Level 2 at 12:30 AM that day. The flood and wind disaster warning was upgraded from 'Caution' to 'Alert.' The Ministry had activated the CDSCH Emergency Level 1 from 8 PM on the 28th to respond to the heavy rain.
