Wonju City to Reduce Water and Sewage Charges by 50% for Small Business Owners and Others for 3 Months
Over 16,000 General and Bathhouse Businesses from July to September
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Wonju City in Gangwon announced on the 24th that it will reduce water and sewage fees to alleviate the economic burden on small business owners, self-employed individuals, and small and medium-sized enterprises.
The city plans to uniformly reduce 50% of the usage fees for three months from July to September for about 16,000 places including small business owners, self-employed individuals, and small and medium-sized enterprises, excluding household and factory use.
The reduction amount is up to 500,000 KRW each for water and sewage, which converts to an average monthly amount of about 33,000 KRW per user, resulting in a total reduction of 100,000 KRW over three months.
The total amount of this reduction is approximately 1.6 billion KRW, including 1.1 billion KRW for water and 500 million KRW for sewage.

However, public institutions, government offices, financial institutions, schools, military units, and large corporations are excluded.
