View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] On the 15th, Pukyong National University, Dongseo University, and the Korea Exchange signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement at the Capital Market History Museum on the 51st floor of BIFC.
The agreement was prepared to strengthen the financial education infrastructure necessary for nurturing talent in the financial new industry sector, reflecting the characteristics of Busan, an international financial innovation city.
Through the agreement, the three institutions agreed to strengthen mutual cooperation by establishing a foundation for expanding exchanges in education and research related to digital finance and derivatives.
According to the agreement, each institution will strive for the development of the Busan region and the strengthening of the financial education base through fostering specialized personnel in digital financial engineering in the Busan area, supporting research and cooperation projects, hosting joint academic conferences, providing listing briefings and customized consulting for innovative growth companies within universities, and developing and operating industry-academia linked curricula.
Jang Young-su, President of Pukyong National University, said, “Through this agreement, we will actively support Busan’s establishment as an international financial innovation city by utilizing the specialized capabilities and infrastructure of each institution,” adding, “We will also make efforts to expand industry-academia cooperation to lead regional development and talent cultivation.”
