[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] DGB Daegu Bank announced on the 13th that it held a professional baseball game viewing event on the 10th at Daegu Samsung Lions Park to commemorate ‘World Blood Donor Day’ and to promote awareness of blood donation by inviting blood donors and Red Cross volunteers.
The Daegu branch of the Korean Red Cross and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Blood Center participated together, inviting about 2,300 Red Cross volunteers and blood donors to support the local community and vulnerable groups, and engaged in various preliminary events and love-sharing activities.
Before the game started, DGB Daegu Bank university student ambassadors and RCY members operated a promotional booth in front of Samsung Lions Park stadium, featuring face painting, magic balloons, dart throwing, and a photo zone.
The event was organized to raise awareness of blood donation, which is an act of sharing life and love, to baseball fans visiting the stadium along with various blood donation-related personnel and related events.
Additionally, a donation of 10 million won was delivered to the Daegu branch of the Korean Red Cross to support families in crisis in the Daegu area.
Bank President Lim Seong-hoon and blood donor Park Hyun-sik, who has led life-sharing activities with 206 blood donations, took part in the ceremonial first pitch and first batter to promote participation in blood donation activities to the audience.
