Pearl Abyss Black Desert Mobile Begins China Open Test... #1 on App Store
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Pearl Abyss started the public test of 'Black Desert Mobile' in China on the 26th.
After the public test, it ranked No. 1 in popularity on the Chinese Apple App Store and No. 1 on Tencent App Market's TapTap popularity ranking.
Black Desert Mobile is co-published by China's largest game company Tencent and iDreamSky. The game underwent three technical tests and a closed beta test (CBT) to enhance its completeness. It was also selected as the "Most Anticipated Game of the Year" by users of the Chinese gaming site '17173' and ranked No. 1 in TapTap pre-registrations.
Content tailored for the Chinese market is also introduced. The new class 'Haengja', debuting for the first time in China, uses a freely extendable cudgel, can ride clouds to quickly create advantageous situations, and has skills such as clone techniques to catch opponents off guard. Additionally, players can enjoy localized content such as the new dungeon 'Ator's Trial' and Chinese-style pets.
Choi Seowon, Pearl Abyss's Black Desert Mobile China General Director, said, "While most successful Korean games in the large Chinese market are PC-based, we are taking on a new challenge as a mobile game," and added, "We will do our best in operation and service so that many Chinese adventurers can gain new experiences and enjoyment in the Black Desert Mobile world."
