Daeyu to Launch Additional Fertilizer Dedicated to 2nd Generation Drones
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Daeyu is set to launch an additional drone-exclusive fertilizer for agricultural use. The company plans to establish itself as a leading enterprise in the drone agriculture era by focusing its capabilities on aerial pest control.
Daeyu announced on the 12th that it will release a new drone-exclusive technology, Silicate (MSA), within the first half of this year. Silicate is an essential element for rice farming. The silicate developed by Daeyu is a second-generation drone-customized fertilizer optimized for drone spraying, featuring easy mixing and enhanced absorption efficiency.
They will also launch a drone-exclusive adjuvant (a supplement that enhances the effectiveness of pesticides). The company plans to continuously develop new second-generation drone-customized products.
With the release of the new products, Daeyu’s drone-exclusive fertilizers and organic agricultural materials will increase from the existing 14 types to 17 types. Previously, Daeyu signed a business partnership agreement with a drone-specialized institution in 2018 in preparation for the growing agricultural drone market. In 2019, they launched a total of 14 products, including 9 types of drone-exclusive fertilizers and 5 types of organic agricultural materials, the first in the industry.
Daeyu’s drone-exclusive products are high-concentration functional products tailored to the fine spray method, consisting of customized products for each plant growth stage, functional products, and organic agricultural materials.
They combine a special concentration method with high-content functional substances and essential nutrients. Even in small quantities, the products exhibit effects over wide areas, improve physical properties for easy mixing, and can be used on all crops regardless of the Pesticide Positive List System (PLS).
Minimizing nozzle clogging in drones makes nozzle management and equipment cleaning simple. This is advantageous for aerial pest control without durability degradation issues in drones.
According to the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), the drone market is expected to reach 85 trillion KRW by 2025. It is projected that 80% of commercial drones will be used for agriculture.
