Dookki Surpasses 100 Stores Overseas After 7 Years of Expansion
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Tteokbokki unlimited refill franchise Dookki announced on the 12th that it has surpassed 100 stores seven years after expanding overseas.
Dookki opened a new store in Binh Me Thuot, Vietnam on the 1st, achieving a total of 100 stores across seven countries: Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines. This is a milestone reached seven years after opening its first store in Taiwan in 2016.
To promote mutual growth between the headquarters and franchisees, Dookki implemented a standardized system from menu development to ingredient sourcing, providing franchisees with sauces containing the headquarters' know-how and ingredients preferred by locals to enhance accessibility. Additionally, the self-cooking method where customers select their own ingredients reduces labor costs and allows operation without professional cooking skills, easing the burden on prospective franchise owners.
