"No Academic Interruptions Due to the Pain of War" ... Dongseo University Awards Scholarships to Ukrainian Students

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dongseo University has provided a scholarship covering the full tuition and dormitory fees amounting to 40 million KRW for one year to Ukrainian students at Dongseo University who are experiencing economic difficulties due to the war, as well as to students scheduled to enter the university.
The students receiving the scholarship benefits starting from the first semester of this year are Mr. Izohtov Maksim, majoring in Game Studies at the International College, and Ms. Bodna Diana Anastasia.
The same scholarship benefits will be provided to two students planning to study at Dongseo University from Ukraine in the second semester.
Mr. Izohtov Maksim said, "I cannot express how grateful I am for all the help and consideration," adding, "My parents in Ukraine were surprised to hear this news amid the war situation and expressed their gratitude to Dongseo University."
Jang Je-guk, President of Dongseo University, encouraged, "We want to provide the best support at the university level so that Ukrainian students who are enduring the pain of war in a foreign country can complete their studies safely."

Currently, there are a total of five Ukrainian students studying at Dongseo University, three of whom are government-sponsored scholarship students receiving benefits such as tuition and living expenses.
