A man in his 20s who repeatedly committed so-called 'delivery scam' was arrested by the police.

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] A man in his 20s was arrested by the police in Jeju for repeatedly ordering delivery food without paying.
Jeju Dongbu Police Station announced on the 8th that they have booked and are investigating a man in his 20s, Mr. A, on charges of fraud and embezzlement in the course of business.
Mr. A is suspected of ordering delivery food such as chicken, jokbal (pig’s trotters), and jjimdak (braised chicken) from restaurants in the province for about three months from December 2021 to recently, and not paying for the food.
According to the investigation, Mr. A deceived business owners by ordering food with a promise to pay via bank transfer and then avoiding contact. The number of affected businesses is 18, with the total amount of unpaid food bills reaching about 700,000 won.
It was also reported that Mr. A committed similar crimes in Seoul last year and was reported to the authorities.
