Former Reporter Dongjae Lee Files 100 Million Won Defamation Compensation Lawsuit Against Eojun Kim

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] Former Channel A reporter Dongjae Lee has filed a damages lawsuit against Kim Eo-jun, the host of TBS's "Kim Eo-jun's News Factory," holding him responsible for spreading false information.
Lee's legal representative announced on the 17th that they had submitted a complaint to the Seoul Eastern District Court demanding 100 million won in damages from Kim.
From April to November 2020, Kim made statements on his YouTube channel and radio program suggesting that Lee had approached former SillaJen CEO Cheol Lee, who was incarcerated at the time, and threatened him to say "I gave money to Yoo Si-min."
In response, Lee's legal representative stated, "Kim Eo-jun has continuously and repeatedly spread false information about former reporter Lee, damaging his reputation," adding, "We will firmly take civil and criminal action against those who spread false information about former reporter Lee, including lawmaker Choi Kang-wook and Kim Eo-jun."
