20s Woman Causes Disturbance at Ex-Boyfriend's Store, Makes 90 Calls in One Day
Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station Books Suspect for Stalking Law Violation
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A woman in her 20s who caused a disturbance at her ex-boyfriend's store and made dozens of phone calls was arrested by the police.
On the 29th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested a woman in her 20s, Kim, on charges of violating the Stalking Punishment Act, assault, and obstruction of business, and are currently investigating her.
According to the police, Kim is accused of causing a disturbance at an unmanned ice cream vending store in Yeongdeungpo-gu, operated by her ex-boyfriend Mr. A, around 5 a.m. on the 26th, overturning displayed items, grabbing Mr. A's head to restrain him, and hitting his chest and shoulder areas.
It was also reported that after breaking up with Mr. A in mid-month, Kim attempted to call him dozens of times. On the day of the incident, she made over 90 calls in one day.
The police, who responded to Mr. A's report and arrived at the store, arrested Kim in the act.
