Kiwoom Securities Opens Stock Gift Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Ji-hwan Park] Kiwoom Securities announced on the 14th that it has newly launched the 'Stock Gifting' service.
The Stock Gifting service allows users to gift stocks they own in their Kiwoom Securities account to others. Even if the recipient's account number is unknown, stocks can be easily gifted by knowing only the recipient's name and mobile phone number.
The recipient can check the gift details through the transmitted SMS message without complicated procedures, select 'Receive Gift' on the Stock Gifting screen, and enter the gift code. Even if the recipient does not have a Kiwoom Securities account, they can open a new account remotely and receive the stocks.
Gifting is available not only for domestically listed stocks but also for ETFs. The limit is 1 million KRW per transaction and up to 5 million KRW per day. If the gift is not registered within 5 business days after receipt, it will be automatically canceled. Sent or received gift details can be checked through the gift box within the service. Please note that receiving stocks as gifts may incur 'gift tax' depending on the amount.
This service is available on the Kiwoom Securities website and the MTS (Hero Moon S) 'Stock Gifting' screen. HTS (Hero Moon 4) users can also access it via a link on the website. For more details about the service, please refer to the website or contact the Kiwoom Financial Center.
