bhc Jokbal Sanghoe Launches First New Menu Item of the Year: 'Bossam'
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon]bhc, the operator of Jokbal Sanghoe, announced on the 13th that it will newly introduce its first new menu item of the year, ‘Bossam’.
Bossam’s strength lies in its fresh quality, following the brand principle of using only meat prepared on the same day. It is characterized by thick pork cooked in broth flavored with doenjang (fermented soybean paste) and fermented soybean sauce, boiled with garlic to enhance the umami taste. The sizes are available in two options: medium (for 2-3 people) and large (for 3-4 people).
The variety of side dishes also draws attention. Three types of kimchi?spicy bossam kimchi flavored with pear and onion, refreshing white kimchi, and crunchy radish kimchi?are added, allowing customers to enjoy the tender texture of bossam meat along with a crisp bite.
Various sauces such as galchi-sokjeot (fermented hairtail fish sauce), saeu-jeot (fermented shrimp sauce), and ssamjang (wrap dipping sauce), as well as vegetables like garlic, chili peppers, lettuce, and perilla leaves are included, enabling diverse wraps according to personal preference.

bhc launched Jokbal Sanghoe, its first self-developed brand, in 2020. In August last year, it opened its first franchise store, Unjeong Branch, in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, followed by branches in Janghanpyeong, Handaeap Station, and Bangi.
