Hansung 1st in Gugal-dong Passes Precise Safety Inspection for Reconstruction... First Case in Yongin
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] ‘Hanseong 1st Complex’ in Gugal-dong, Giheung-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province, which is in its 30th year since completion, has passed the first phase of the detailed safety inspection for reconstruction. This is the first complex in Yongin to pass the first phase of the detailed safety inspection.
According to industry sources on the 24th, Hanseong 1st recently received a D grade (37.19 points), which allows conditional reconstruction, in the detailed safety inspection. For a D grade, reconstruction is confirmed once the appropriateness review (second phase detailed safety inspection) by public institutions such as the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology and the National Safety Management Institute is finally passed.
Completed in 1992, this apartment complex consists of 12 buildings with up to 6 floors above ground and a total of 570 households. It is a station-area complex located near Giheung Station on the Suin-Bundang Line subway, composed of units sized 46 to 47 square meters (exclusive area).
This complex is the first case in Yongin-si to pass the first phase of the detailed safety inspection for reconstruction. The nearby Hanseong 2nd Complex, with 384 households, is also expected to receive its first phase detailed safety inspection results next month. Additionally, five other complexes in Giheung-gu, Suji-gu, and Cheoin-gu of Yongin-si are awaiting the announcement of detailed safety inspection results in the first half of next year.

In March, Yongin-si announced the ‘2030 Urban and Residential Environment Improvement Basic Plan’ and designated nine complexes, including Hanseong 1st and 2nd, as the first phase maintenance zones. The first phase detailed safety inspection results for complexes included in this plan, such as Suji Samsung 2nd and 4th, Hanseong, and Gongsin, are also expected to be released in the first half of next year.
