"Robot-Made Coffee Taste..." Doosan Robotics Launches Modular Robot Cafe Product
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Doosan Robotics unveiled its unmanned robot cafe system, the 'Modular Robot Cafe,' on the 2nd.
Doosan Robotics announced the Modular Robot Cafe after forming a strategic partnership with Pleto Robotics, a company specializing in unmanned beverage manufacturing systems. This cafe measures approximately 3㎡ (width 1.8m × depth 1.59m × height 1.85m), offering high space efficiency, unmanned operation capability, and quick installation. Compared to regular cafes, it reduces initial business and operating costs and also offers rental services.
The Modular Robot Cafe can make 15 types of coffee using premium beans and 3 types of ade. With additional options, it can close cup lids or create latte art. It is fast enough to make an iced Americano in about 43 seconds, and key equipment can be monitored in real-time to ensure proper operation. In the future, a remote ordering system via mobile phones will also be introduced.
Doosan Robotics CEO Ryu Jeonghoon said, "As Korea's number one collaborative robot manufacturer, Doosan Robotics has focused on product completeness and productivity improvement so far," adding, "Going forward, based on the precision, speed, and the largest product lineup of Doosan collaborative robots, we will provide various robot solutions optimized to customer needs."
