[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Seoyoung] Middle school students who filmed and distributed a video of themselves collectively assaulting a classmate have been booked by the police.
On the 27th, the Gwangju Nambu Police Station announced that they are investigating two first-year middle school students on charges of assault and defamation. Earlier, on the 26th, SBS reported a video showing the perpetrators pinning the victim to the ground and hitting them. While the victim struggled to break free, another perpetrator filmed the scene as if broadcasting a sports event. The student filming also repeatedly said things like "Don't stop, keep hitting," and "This is your chance."
