Samsung Display Asan and China Sites Achieve RBA Platinum Rating... "Industry First"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Samsung Display announced on the 9th that it has become the first company in the domestic display industry to achieve the Platinum grade from the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA).
The RBA is the world's largest industry coalition dedicated to corporate social responsibility in the global supply chain. It evaluates member companies thoroughly on whether they fulfill their corporate social responsibilities in production processes, focusing on fairness, human rights, and sustainability, and assigns grades accordingly.
As part of leading ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) value management, Samsung Display joined the RBA in February and conducted a third-party on-site audit (VAP). A professional evaluation agency carried out an on-site assessment of compliance with the RBA Code of Conduct.
As a result, Samsung Display announced that its OLED production line at the Asan 2 Campus in Chungnam and the OLED module line at the Dongguan facility in China received the highest Platinum grade. Samsung Display identified vulnerabilities in the five RBA Code of Conduct areas?▲ labor rights ▲ safety and health ▲ environment ▲ business ethics ▲ management systems?and undertook improvement activities related to employee working conditions.
