Pearl Abyss Invests $3 Million in North American Metaverse Company 'Hyperreal'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Pearl Abyss announced on the 5th that it has invested $3 million (approximately 3.5 billion KRW) in Hyperreal, a North American metaverse entertainment company.
Hyperreal is a creator of the hyper-realistic digital avatar "HyperModel," based on celebrities with high recognition.
HyperModel can be utilized and reused across various media such as movies, music videos, and advertisements with just a single scan of a person. Recently, avatar technology was used in the music video "Find My Way," featuring Paul McCartney in his younger days, and in Madison Beer's virtual concert. The local industry has praised it as so realistic that it is difficult to distinguish from the actual person.
They plan to apply machine learning-based artificial intelligence (AI) technology to enable HyperModel to be used on various digital platforms in the future.
